Somnis de sorra

Ayer sábado la compañía Borja Ytuquepintas nos cautivó con su espectáculo Somnis de sorra, que fue presentado en La Mostra de Igualada, la feria de teatro infantil y juvenil, en su 22 edición.

Interpretado por el ilustrador Borja González, al piano Roc Sala y en manos del sonido y la iluminación, Joaquim Aragó. Somnis de Sorra es un espectáculo que combina arte efímero con arena, música en directo y marionetas tamaño real.

Las manos de Borja González, arena sobre un cristal, luz, piano, un escenario y una pantalla; y todo está listo para introducirnos en una bella historia, un mundo de magia, que recorre bellos lugares y nos recuerda las primeras películas del cine en blanco y negro, películas en las que las imágenes se suceden al compás de la música del piano, una música que te traslada a otro tiempo y a otros lugares.

Monsaengdao,

Después de Monsaengdao (After Monsaengdao)

Para las niñas de las minorías étnicas del norte de Tailandia escolarizadas en Monsaengdao, una vez llegados los 18 años se acaban las posibilidades, puesto que han de abandonar la escuela y sus familias no pueden costear la continuidad de sus estudios. 


 Esta es la razón por la que después de dar soporte directamente a la escuela ahora iniciamos una segunda fase del proyecto que hemos llamado: Después de Monsaengdao junto con Kiki, la gerente actual de Monsaengdao , y en colaboración con Udutama.


Gracias a la escuela Monsaengdao y gracias los que habéis colaborado en nuestro proyecto, niñas como Mei, con gran potencial y muy pocos recursos tienen la oportunidad de estudiar. Mei fue elegida, el pasado mes de enero, como la mejor estudiante de las escuelas de educación alternativa de Chiang Rai, y recibió el certificado de manos del primer ministro. Estamos muy orgullosos de ella!
Después de Monsaengdao
Queremos apoyar a las niñas procedentes de minorías étnicas del norte de Tailandia no reconocidas por el gobierno tailandés. Algunas de las niñas no tienen identidad tailandesa completa por lo que no son consideradas ciudadanas de Tailandia. Estas niñas provienen de familias con escasos recursos, localizadas en zonas remotas con escasas posibilidades de acceso a la educación y han realizado una primera fase de sus estudios en la escuela ecológica Monsaengdao. Además tienen potencial y gran motivación para continuar unos estudios de especialización en alguna de las escuelas de Chiang Rai de una duración aproximada de dos años. 

A través de nuestra colaboración en forma de becas de estudios podrán continuar estudiando en Chiang Rai y así optar con más posibilidades para ayudar a sus familias y comunidades a salir adelante. 

Con el dinero recaudado pagaremos las matrículas en las escuelas seleccionadas y colaboraremos a su manutención durante el próximo curso escolar que cubre el período abril-diciembre. 

Ya el pasado 21 de marzo enviamos los fondos recaudados a través del proyecto Collares para Monsaengdao, que corresponden a nuestra colaboración para el primer semestre y suman 1.975 euros recaudados.

Nam
Edad: 18 años

Área geográfica: Chiang Saen
Quiere estudiar: Gestión turística y hotelera
Institución: Chiang Rai Vocational School
Duración estudios: 2 años

Es la mayor de 5 hermanos. Su padre está enfermo y no puede trabajar. Recibe muchas presiones de su familia para empezar a trabajar y poder contribuir a la educación de sus hermanos. Aun así, ella trata de convencerlos de que con sus estudios podrá sacarse un certificado oficial de guía y así optar a un mejor trabajo para ayudar a su familia y a su comunidad.

Edad: 18 años
Grupo étnico: Akha
Área geográfica: Chiang Saen
Quiere estudiar:Agricultura
Institución: Chiang Rai Agriculture College
Duración estudios: 2 años

Le gusta la pintura y en sus ratos libres se dedica a ella. Su plan es abrir un negocio familiar de restauración con otras chicas de Monsaengdao para vender los productos de su comunidad y al mismo tiempo mostrar la cultura akha.

Nee 
Edad: 18 años
Grupo étnico: Akha
Área geográfica: Mae Salong
Quiere estudiar: Agricultura
Institución:Chiang Rai Agriculture College
Duración estudios: 2 años

Tiene 4 hermanos. Nació en Tailandia pero su familia, como muchas otras familias Akha, se ha estado trasladando a través de las montañas. Es una de las amigas de Da que quiere montar un restaurante en el futuro.

Al igual que Nee, nació en Tailandia. Tiene 2 hermanos pequeños. Es la otra amiga de Da y Nee que quiere montar el restaurante. Ha decidido estudiar agricultura porque ya tiene conocimientos previos y cree que así le será más fácil terminar sus estudios.

Mei
Edad:  15 años
Grupo étnico:  Lahu
Área geográfica: Mae Kok river
Estudios a los que opta: Senior High School (bachillerato), Major in English
Institución: Sahasad School de Chiang Rai
Duración estudios: 3 años

Nació en Tailandia y tiene 4 hermanos. Sus padres son agricultores, además su madre es la chaman de la comunidad. Le gusta la pintura y se dedicará a ella en su tiempo libre. Cuando acabe sus estudios de bachillerato le gustaría estudiar en la Facultad de Tecnología y Artes de la Universidad de Chiang Rai. En el futuro quiere ayudar a su comunidad fomentando un desarrollo ecológicamente sostenible. El pasado mes de enero fue seleccionada la mejor estudiante de las escuelas de educación alternativa de Chiang Rai y recibió el certificado de manos del Primer Ministro. 

Pond
Edad: 16 años
Grupo étnico: Akha
Área geográfica: Mae Suai
Tiene id-card tailandesa: Sí
Estudios a los que opta:Senior High School (bachillerato)
Institución: Chiang Rai Agriculture College
Duración estudios: 3 años

Tiene 4 hermanos mayores. Pond quiere estudiar agricultura para así poder ayudar directamente a su comunidad.

(English version) After Monsaengdao

At Monsaengdao School, once you are 18 years old, you are done. And the girls belonging to ethnic minorities have to leave the school, and their families can’t afford to continue their education.


This is the reason why after supporting first the school directly, we start now a second phase of the project: we call it Monsaengdao 2.0 (or Monsaengdao after Monsaengdao), jointly with Kiki, the current manager in Monsaengdao, and in collaboration with Udutama.

Thanks to Monsaengdao School and thanks to all of you, who have contributed to our Project, girls as Mei, with great potential and very few resources have the opportunity to study.
Last January, 2013, Mei was selected as one if the best students in an Alternative Education Center in Chiang Rai; she received a certificate from the Prime Minister’s hands.




After Monsaengdao
Our goal now is to support girls from ethnic minorities in northern Thailand, whose rights are not recognized under the regulations of the Thai Government.  Some of the girls do not hold full Thai identity cards and as such are not considered Thai citizens. They come from very poor families, located in remote areas with little or no access to education; they made a first phase of its ecological studies at Monsaengdao school and have great potential and motivation to continue for specialized studies in some of the schools in Chiang Rai, that usually last for two years. 

By means of our collaboration in the form of scholarship, they will be able to continue their study of specialization in Chiang Rai and thus most likely have options to help their families and communities to succeed. 

With the money raised, we will be able to pay tuition at selected schools and will work for their maintenance during the next school year, covering the period from April to December 2013. 

Therefore, on March 21st we sent the funds raised through the project Necklaces for Monsaengdao, corresponding to our support in the first semester, worth 1.975 Euros.

With such funds, and others coming from other volunteers and also Udutama, we expect to cover approximately 80% of the costs of this first semester. The rest will be covered by the girls, by means of some sporadic works that will permit them to get introduced into working life.

Some information about Nam, Da, Nee, Thai, Mei and Pond, the girls that will take advantage of our support, do follow:

Nam
Age:  18
Ethnic group:  Akha
Origin: Chiang Saen
Wishes to study: Tourism and hotel management
Institution: Chiang Rai Vocational School
Education duration: 2 years

Nam is the eldest of five children . Her father is ill and can’t work. She is under strong pressure to leave school and start working to support her younger brothers’ education. She is convincing her family that with an official certificate as tourist guide, she will have much better options to support them and the community.
Da
Age:  18
Ethnic group:  Akha
Origin: Chiang Saen
Wishes to study: Agriculture
Institution: Chiang Rai Agriculture College
Education duration: 2 years

In her free time, she enjoys painting. Her project is about opening a restaurant business jointly with other girls in Monsaengdao, also to sell out the products of her community and showing the Akha culture to others.
 

Nee
Age: 18
Ethnic group:  Akha
Origin: Mae Salong
Wishes to study: Agriculture
Institution: Chiang Rai Agriculture College
Education duration: 2 years

Nee has four brothers. She was born in Thailand but her family, as many others of the Akha ethnic group, moved through the mountains often. Nee is one of Da’s friends planning to open a restaurant business in the future.

Thai was also born in Thailand.. She has two younger brothers. She’s the third girl, with Da and Nee, wanting to set up a restaurant business. She wishes to study agriculture because she is skilled in this discipline, and therefore this will make easier for her to end her education successfully.

Mei

Age:  15

Ethnic group:  Lahu

Origin: Mae Kok river
Wishes to study: Senior High School, Major studies in English
Institution: Sahasad School in Chiang Rai
Education duration: 3 years


Mei was born in Thailand. She has four siblings. Her parents are farmers, and additionally her mother is the Shaman in her community, taking care of the community members’ health. In her free time, she enjoys painting. When she’s done in her education at Senior High School in Chiang Rai, she’d like to study Technology and Arts in the University, also in Chiang Rai. In the future, she wishes to support her community promoting an ecologically sustainable development. Last January, 2013, she was selected as one if the best students in an Alternative Education Center in Chiang Rai; she received a certificate from the Prime Minister’s hands.

Pond
Age:  16
Ethnic group:  Akha
Origin: Mae Suai
Wishes to study: Senior High School
Institution: Chiang Rai Agriculture College
Education duration: 3 years

Pond holds a Thai id card. Pond is the youngest of five brothers, and is willing to study Agriculture to directly support her community.
